As we start to meet people again in the physical space thoughts of Covid are still very much front of mind, but one thing the pandemic has taught us is how to use QR code technology to share information digitally. Before you leave on your GBIP and head into face to face meetings why not swap traditional business cards for a new QR digital business card.

Here are 3 free ways you can use the QR code to swap your contact details.
How to create a VCard QR saving your contact details into someone's mobile address book?
1) Go to a free third party QR code creator site, like QR Code Monkey, and select create VCard
2) Add in the contact details you would like to share, create and save your QR code
3) You can now use your QR Code in presentations, email signatures or save it to your phone photos
4) When this code is scanned, your contact details will be saved directly into a third parties mobile address book.
How do connect on LinkedIn via my QR code?
1) Open your LinkedIn app on your mobile device.
2) Tap the Search bar at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, to access the QR code
3) Tap the Scan icon, and you will see your profile QR code displayed
4) Hold the third-party mobile device directly above your LinkedIn member's QR code
5) They are now connected with you on Linkedin
6) If you would like to connect with them, they should repeat this process. From your mobile device via Linkedin, tap the search bar, select the QR icon and scan their QR with your camera.
How to make a digital business card for your Apple Wallet?
1) Create your QR code. From a computer (not your mobile), go to this website.
2) Fill out the form with your contact details (in the website field, don’t include https://)
3) Click Generate, Save the QR code file and open this so it can be viewed
4) On your phone, get Wallet Creator by at2 GmbH from the App Store
5) Open Wallet Creator and tap (+) to create a new card
6) Fill in the form with your details, use, + symbol to add more fields
7) Select the colours of your design or add a logo or profile picture
8) When completed, tap the (+) symbol and Add a Barcode
9) Point your mobile camera at the QR code on the screen you made earlier
10) Your card is now ready for use.
